Perfect weather for crochet

Hello

The girls are officially on winter holidays, pajama rest, cartoons on TV and hot chocolate are in place!
3 weeks of winter holiday....I've already went to the library for extra books.

Made more or less a plan for reading, crafting and outs with them, if the weather permits!

We have a warning for a serious cold front approaching Cape Town, a 3 day stormy weather!

Now this morning the view from my craft corner was this....

Not that scary you think....

But on the other side of the house....

This is the view

The clouds are getting darker and darker

But never fear, we are indoors for today and in my to-do list are loads of crochet flowers to make to embellish pillows for my girls room.

Stay safe and warm....

See you

Knitting Coats for Build-a-Bear

Through my search on the net, I came across a knitting coat for the American Girl.

I give it a try for two Build-a-Bear from my girls.

The pink one for N. she as a tiger and her name is Angel

I had an embellishment flower to the front of the coat.

The blue is for A. she as Hello kitty and her name is Isabella.

I had this cute embellishment bow on the back and...
these cute buttons in a shape of a flower

These coats fit perfectly on any Build-a-Bear. I refuse to pay a big amount of money for those type of garments, first because I can do them for 1/3 of the price, and second the ones that the shop sells are too expensive, but the shame there is that they are made in China, and just because they just glue the tag Build-a-Bear on it it triples the price, I don't think that's fair!
This is my point of view.

And then I looked  behind and look what was waiting for me....

The most adorable pile of clothes to be iron....
Why, ho why.....

Got to go....

We have a complete dishcloth, Hooray!

YES, yes

I'm a very stubborn person when it comes to do something that i know that i can, and for some odd reason it goes wrong!

Here it is....

All done and ready to start to clean a messy house.

A very simple pattern, but as i saw it i felt in love, weirdo here!

And look the sides are much, much better now....

You can find the free pattern here
Just scroll down, it is the last free pattern of that page.

More yarnny experiences that i'm making

This one i found on Pinterest, it starts like a flower, cute....

You can find the pattern and full pictures of how to here, the most famous and colorful site about crochet that i saw until now.

Another find

This one i found on Facebook, the link is here
Just scroll down until the 8 of June

So, that is it for today

It is Holiday here, well in the reality it was holiday yesterday, Youth Day, but since the holiday ends on a Sunday, by rule it will be holiday also on Monday....good lives, no??

WIP that started bad

Not all the things that i do end in beautiful bouquets of flowers, some times they actually became a absolutely cactus full of thorns, don't get me wrong, i do love cactus, you know what i mean.... i'll show you in pictures....

So i bought this beautiful yellow to make a dishcloth for my kitchen...

Then i got a pattern from Pinterest, very cute indeed, but simple
And as i got home i started to work

And in the middle of my work, the sides looked like this

Sorry, but that is a big no no to me....

So i had no choice then to...

ripe everything and....

Start over again

I've been doing knitting for so long, coats, vests, socks, this is no excuse to have a dishcloth like this. I'm not perfect, not at all, but really, that was a no no to my eyes!

Pictures later of the finish dishcloth, with almost perfect finish and the link, to who is interest

let me get to the needles

Sewing a Tablet carrier bag

So distractions here

Or maybe i just wanted to have a little break from the felt

Don't know the reason, but i needed this little bag

I saw the pattern online, in Chinese, but this site is well known from tutorials with millions of pictures to follow easily.

Mine measures 29cm by 20cm and 71/2 deep.

You can find the link Here

Mine isn't perfect as the original one ;)

You can see the handles, don't know why aren't exactly in the same place... They are also too close together...oh well....

But at the end it serves its purpose

It doesn't carry only the my tablet, but it also fits inside 2 A5 books, and a pencil case, hooray!!!!

Now back to real life, and let's craft some more felt.

see you all next time
