Is lace calling me?

Autumn cardigan (update)
The Autumn Cardigan is going well, apart that I had to do the back piece again! But that doesn’t really mater now.

So from this…

Ended up in this…

I’ve already cast on for the sleeves, but with a provisional cast on, I want my sleeves to go down a little bit more, and not like the pattern ask for.
Hoping to have a finish cardigan in the next post.

I join Rachel knitting room in Yahoo; they have a knit a long dishcloths thing. This is my first one from this group.

Lace again,

I’m starting to feel the urge to make something big in lace. Everything that I join so far, like the SPK2008, and now this group, are doing lace. So this may means something to me. A calling from the knitting world, like, please try the lace…
I’ve already started to look for lace patterns in small things, like scarf’s or shawls. Any suggestions?

In the middle of my projects I’ve insert this one.

I found a very talent crafty lady from Brazil, where her blog is full, and I mean full of different crafts and good ideas to make. I just looked at her cactus and felt the urge to make one for me too.
This one that I made is almost my creation, I started to follow one of her patterns, but then I just kept on going on making my own.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, see you now, now!

Cold Weather = More Knitting and Crochet!

The cold weather is here for certain!
So more time to do more knitting and crochet things.

I’m still doing the afghan year along crochet blocks from the Ravelry groups.
This block is for May, Flower Burst.

Pattern: Flower Burst
Yarn: Elle, Pure Gold, DK

Another dishcloth from the mid of April.

Pattern: dots within stripes
Yarn : Elle, Splish Splash, 4 ply cotton

This one is very colorful.
Very easy to do, although it looks complicated.

And cast on for the 2# sock for the SKP2008, it is called Berlin Muster .

And here is the finish socks. No this wasn’t as fast as the post. It took me actually 2 weeks to make these socks, but only now I had the opportunity to show.

Pattern: Berlin Muster
Yarn: Elle, Sock Wool, Cherry Red, 4 ply
Needles: 2, 25 mm
Notes: Started with the cuff casting 62 stitches. When I finish the cuff I cast of two stitches, this way the cuff to me is always good to stretch. Made 3 repeats of the pattern in the leg. For the rest of the sock I made 3 and ½ repeats until the toe.
Another pair for the SKP2008 done.
And another pair for the SAM5, for the May month.

Still doing the cardigan. Already made the other front, and the back. But, then I made a fake seam to try the cardigan on, and it looks like the back is forcing the fronts to the back!!!
Looks complicated my explanation, but never mind. I just cast on again for the back, this time with more stitches. Hope to make a post with the cardigan for the next time.
I just made a decision, which I’m not going to start another big project, without finish these ones that I have in hands. So that means that this cardigan is going to fly in my needles like it had wings!!!
Wish me luck.

On other news. We’ve been having some problems with the Foreigners in this country. Well they don’t have a problem, some of the people of South Africa has!
There have been some big fights in the north, because some South Africans think that the people that comes from other countries, more precisely from Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, etc. Are stilling their jobs!
So the north of the country now is a little bit in state crises.
Let’s see if this just goes away, shame, there was enough trouble in the country that they came from, and now they are having trouble here also. But they don’t want to go back, and I give them reason. It is better to live here with fear, but with bread, then to go to their country and live with worse fear and no bread on the stomach!
Well, that is my opinion.

Bagzzzzzz

I promised a crochet post.

And here it is.

Green bag

Red bag

And a very colorful pink bag, using the pattern from Inga's site.

You can find the pattern in PDF here.

All of them weren’t for me, the first two, sold out on request, and the last one a request from a friend, that have been helping me in this country!
She loved it, and I loved the color, so wild!

N. pillow is going slowly but going.

I’ve already finish the front, but now I’m stuck with the back.

Don’t really know if I will do a plain sc in a square, or another test of other crochet stitch. I do think I must probably will go for a plain back, just for not to take the beauty of the front panel. Any suggestions???

Now, what to do with scrappy yarn? I mean that scrappy that you usually just toss in the garbage!
Why not do a flower and a chain and join with a slip st, and give it to a girl.

They love it, even if it is going to end in the big box of toys, it doesn’t matter, they will find it again, and love it!

Now not crochet related, but knitting.

Do you like it?

Cardigan and socks

First of all, I would like to say THANK YOU to all the girls that left me a comment, or sent a email to me about my father’s health. Thank you. He is progressing fro best, these things go slowly, but they are going to good port, TG.

There was some knitting on this front, as well as crochet.

Today I’m going to show some socks that I made for N.

Just a simple 2X2 rib in the cuf, and plain knitting until the end. Not very amusing!
But she was happy, that she now as socks with the same color as mommy!
By the way, these were the socks for the month of April for SAM5.

Now this is a big thing to me. I’m doing for the first time, or better, I’m trying to do for the first time a cardigan. This one will have seams everywhere!
The pattern you can find it here.

And here is a photo of how it looks like.

And here is a photo of what I made so far.

All the lines that you see, is for me to keep track of the stripes in the pattern.
So for now it is all.

Crochet news in the next post.
