I’ve been busy with the mystery Socks, from the group in Ravelry, going slowly, for not more mistakes.
Probably they won’t be finished in time for me to post them in the group, but it really doesn’t matter. What really matters is that I prove to myself that I could do it, and I think that is the most important thing!
The Ivory coat for Nicole is going, a little bit slowly for my taste, but this is my first big small project, so I must be happy for that.
And now for some other things that I’ve been doing since the beginning of this week. Some extra Christmas presents, that just pop up. I’m still working on it.
So that is why the photos don’t reveal everything.
But I must say I’m very proud of what I’m doing, it is my creation, my design.
I’ve been thinking of opening a shop here on my blog. I would like to know from all my readers, what they think about it! And I also wanted to know, how you do it. Do you send an item already done, or just the pattern.
Let me hear from you….
Oh wow! Those socks are looking brilliant! I think that even if they take twice as long as expected, that they will definitely be worth it! Oh yes, and I love where you put in the lifeline!! I must remember that spot!
ReplyDeleteFirst the socks are gorgeous. I am an American living in South Africa...Queenstown actually. But I read on your blog about markers. What are markers. I am very new to knitting? So haven't a clue. Your knitting is divine. Colleen inQueenstown.
ReplyDeleteActually you can sell both. The actual FO and the pattern. People that doesn't knot how to crochet can buy, but people that know how to crochet can only buy the pattern. Plus you don't have to ship the pattern. Just email it, or you can set up an automatic download. Don't forget to sign up PayPal to set the shopping cart and people can buy you using PayPal or credit card.
ReplyDeleteLily said everything that I was going to say.
ReplyDeleteYou can also open up an Etsy shop for free. They do charge a tiny fee to post every item. You can check it out at http://www.etsy.com/. You can use PayPal there as well.
I just opened up an Etsy shop and am contemplating adding one to my blog too. Good Luck!
I meant to comment on your post ages ago! Etsy shops are pretty easy to set up, and quite cheap. The only problem is that we can't use Paypal from South Africa to receive money. But there are ways around this, too complicated to go into here, but if you're interested, email me and I'll give you all the info.
ReplyDeleteI think patterns as well as finished objects are a good idea
