Sunday in the beach anyone

1st i want to say thank you to my Half Face!

He saw how much i was working in the image of this blog that he wanted to give me a help (well it is job anyway). And he made this beautiful header. Cute. LOVE YOU.

He also made this cute photo of Angelina (she sometimes makes cute faces).

OK enough now, let's talk about the weekend in this part of the globe.
With almost 30 degrees, what do you do when you are almost in winter?

Let's go to the beach, YEAAAHHH.

My girls were happy.
And me too:)

OK now let's see some photos of Angelina's birthday.

Are they really going to let me do this? (Angelina)

There is something wrong here, maybe it is christmas! (Angelina)

I know they are a little late but only now i received them from my Half Face. Yes, sometimes having someone at home that understands PC, net, and everything around that level, leaves you behind, i know first the work and then the house 'problems', eheheheh, I'm kiddying. Thank you again.

For now it is all, more knitting and crochet news is the next Post.

bye,bye

Hot Needles

Since i made that crochet purse, in the last post, I've been in a mission to do more, don't ask me why!
This one is for Nicole, she is crazy about purses and bags and everything that she can use to put toys inside.

On the other side of the needles, I'm trying to make another pair of socks for her also.

This pattern is mine, and i will post it later when there done.

I've use two colors, that worked very nice, and at the heel i mixed the colors together.

I also made the heel with out picking st, i used the heel from here, but i did the knit st not the garter st. let's see how it ends.

For now it is all.

let me go and try to do some magic with my hands :)

Over and out from the land of the lions and monkeys!

New experience

I just finished another dress for Barbie. I got the pattern from a Sweden site that is amazing!

This is something that i don't make at a long time, crochet. The last thing that i did was a blanket for my little girl.
I got the ideia of a purse on Future girl, and she has some amazing stuff. I invite every one to have a little time to go there and take a look! So i put my brains to work and made this one.

but to put a zipper there was a big history. But i dit it!
I've got a new purse, wow!

My first dishcloth
I think I'm going to frame it.
No more news from the land of the lions
Have a nice knitting everyone:)

Cross Stitch anyone?

The other day I was reading Ruth’s Place in her post about enough is enough and she has my support there, and I’m also going to do the same!
I always made cross stitch all my life, why stop now because of the knitting?
I know why, because I’m like a sponge I can absorb everything that I see always looks so cute and I want to do also, and that also looks cute let me try these one.
YES I’M A SPONGE
Now I’m doing some dishcloths, and I’m having fun with it.

Here are some photos of my cross stitch (it is also my passion); some of them came by boat from Portugal.

And new ones made in South Africa.

And while I’m in the computer writing a post, look what I found on top of the table!

Serious it is five minutes doing my things and other five minutes taking Angelina out from somewhere.
Yes, stay home mom sometimes has its ups and downs.

Until next time
Happy knitting everyone:)

What a change

I'm Portuguese. And all my life i lived in Portugal, until one day i met my Half Face.
He is from South Africa, and he always wanted to come back again.
So here we are in this wonderful country, i dint think that way before, and let me explain why.
Has everybody knows, we only know what is going on out side of our nest, by the news that we see on TV. The images that we, in Portugal, have from this country are pathetic.
We only see houses made of wood, streets of sand and kids running everywhere with no clothes at all. And let's not talk about the crime, there, you have the idea that you can't even put your nose out of the window, with out get a shot! That's true, the image was not pretty, and i was starting to get concerned about moving from a country with the freedom of taking the kids to the park, to a country that you always have to look over your shoulder!
But sometimes things aren't exactly what you see at first.
My first day in this country was very funny, now that i think about it, i was amazed how i could walk, go to a coffe shop, and have a party in a bar during the night. It looked like i wasn't in South Africa, The South Africa that i saw on TV.
Of course there is crime here, like in every little place in the world.
Of course there are places that you can't even put you feet, like there are also in Lisbon.
This post started because i was trying to join a group of knitting (that I'm enjoying) and somebody answer me that she dint realize that i was in South Africa?
Do people think that there is no computers here? Do people thing that there is no people working and have a normal life for e.g. in Iraq?
Beside all the problems that country's have, people live there and they try to do a normal life, like every body else.
Now i must go because since Friday night my teeth are giving me a hard time, now i don't really know were it hurts.
I feel better now that i ''throw'' my words out.

Have a Nice Knitting everyone
